A stopped clock

It is a classic observation that a stopped clock is correct twice a day. I am certainly not a fan of the KKK and they are surely not fans of me or this little blog. That said, sometimes one must give credit where it is due.

Twice recently the Klan web site has gotten a call exactly right. First they opposed the planned (and eventually canceled) Q'ran burning in Florida. Second they disassociated themselves from the "Westboro Baptist Church" actions protesting and picketing at funerals of war dead.

OK, I am still not a fan but they are spot on here and so some credit to someone who is thinking like a for real American. Below are two press releases from the Klan. HT to Mad Priest who spotted one of them and caught my attention.

The Burning Question
August 2010

Florida Pastor Terry Jones said members of his,Dove World Outreach Center believe "Islam is of the devil." He has invited those who feel the same to gather at his church for what he is calling "International Burn a Koran Day." The Gainesville, Fla. church plans to burn the Islamic holy book on 9/11. It is our opinion that such an act is completely UNACCEPTABLE; it is despicable, and un-American.

There are without doubt Islamic sects that teach extreme views of Islam but, going down to their level of hatred by burning their books is a dangerous and ignorant way to confront their teachings. The flames made by such unholy fires never die out! The Ku Klux Klan, LLC. opposes this most un-American thinking and activity.
