For 55 years, Emmanuel Episcopal Church has conducted an Antique Show that benefits both the parish and especially its various outreach activities. The Episcopal Church Women of the parish grant funds to the community and world at a rate of 50% with the balance going to special needs of the parish. So this is a commercial for a good cause.
But(!) that is not the only reason to attend. It is fun, you can find amazing things there and it is the first antique show of the year in the Winter bound Chicago area. Not only does that make it a breath of Spring, it means the dealers are dealing! They need cash and we are their first show for 2011.
In addition to the antiques there is very good food available. Over all it is a very cool experience.
